Radiographs are a form of electromagnetic radiation, just like visible light. In a health care setting, a machine produces individual x-ray particles called photons. These particles pass through the body. X-ray is typically recommended for confirmation of a CCL tear, bladder stones, evidence of fluid, and much more. While a dog's Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL)—the equivalent to the human ACL—does not directly show up on X-rays, radiographs are a crucial diagnostic tool. They allow veterinarians to identify secondary signs of joint instability, evaluate the severity of osteoarthritis, and rule out other potential causes of lameness.

Laser therapy allows for improved patient outcomes:
Deep, soothing laser therapy provides a drug-free option for enhanced patient care. It produces effective relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling.  Laser therapy is extremely well tolerated by pets and has no known side effects.  In addition, it may decrease the need for surgery and medications, reduces healing time, requires no sedation or clipping, and lastly, is quick to administer (approximately 3 to 6 minutes per site).  As an additional benefit, it allows pet owners to be present and feel that they are participating in the healing process
